Organized at the Waterpoint urban area in Ben Luc, the event opens up a riverside spring excursion space at the western gateway, a 30-minute drive from the center of TP HCM. The festival space is arranged along the Vam Co Dong river, inspired by traditional Southern Vietnamese flower markets, where flower boats, docks, and spring colors blend into the modern urban rhythm.

According to the organizers, the highlight of the Waterpoint spring flower festival is the riverside flower street. Here, themed miniature landscapes, such as "Ma Dao Thanh Cong" (Horses Returning Successfully), and nearly 50 stalls offering cuisine, ornamental plants, and handicrafts are arranged along an open axis, providing views of the water. The flower street will be open until 28/2.
"The sight of moored flower boats and vibrant spring flowers reflecting on the Vam Co Dong river creates a distinctive atmosphere of the Southern riverine region, setting it apart from flower streets in the city center", a representative of the organizer said.
The space is designed for visitors to stroll and admire flowers, pause to enjoy the river view, take photos, and participate in traditional experiences. These activities include calligraphy, conical hat painting, making to he (toy figurines from glutinous rice powder), or asking for auspicious words at the start of the year, alongside folk games.

Beyond the flower market, the spring festival also expands into cultural and entertainment activities for all ages. On the opening day, 7/2, a "Japanese Tet" event will be held at Lang Viet - Nhat (Vietnamese - Japanese Village). Here, visitors can experience activities such as tea ceremonies, Hatsumode rituals (first shrine visit of the New Year), Kendo performances, and Mascot parades. The folk game area, traditional Tet experience space, and 50 food and handicraft stalls are among the attractions designed to engage visitors. Folk games like bamboo dancing and ring tossing are also incorporated, creating a multi-generational playground.
On new year's eve (16/2), the riverside urban area will host a fireworks display, expected to draw tens of thousands of visitors. Additionally, during the first days of the new year, the Sales Gallery will feature "picking lucky buds at the start of spring" activities, a traditional practice believed to bring good fortune.

Thanks to convenient transportation infrastructure, visitors from TP HCM can reach Waterpoint in approximately 30-35 minutes via expressways. The riverside setting, fresh air, and numerous experiential activities make it an ideal short spring excursion destination for many families.
According to the organizers, the Waterpoint spring flower festival 2026 is not just a place to admire flowers. It also offers residents an opportunity to experience the Tet atmosphere of the riverine region within a new urban area where a stable way of life is gradually forming. "The Waterpoint spring flower festival by the Vam Co Dong river thus becomes an attractive early-year destination, connecting nature, culture, and community life right next to TP HCM", the representative stated.
