The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is reportedly investigating Joe Kent, former director of the National Counterterrorism Center, for allegedly 'leaking classified information'. US media reported on 18/3, citing informed sources, that this investigation began before Kent announced his resignation, which he attributed to his opposition to the ongoing war with Iran. The FBI has not yet issued an official statement on the matter.

Kent, who resigned on 17/3, stated he 'cannot act against my conscience and support the ongoing war with Iran'. He further elaborated, 'They are not an imminent threat to the country. It is clear we entered this war due to pressure from Israel and their powerful lobbying organizations in the US'.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt criticized Kent's statements as 'insulting and ridiculous'. Leavitt commented, 'I always thought he was a good person, but weak on security issues, very weak. When I read his statement, I realized his departure from the position was a good thing, because he said Iran is not a threat'.
Meanwhile, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported over 200 US soldiers injured in more than two weeks of conflict with Iran, with 10 seriously wounded. The US military confirmed 7 soldiers killed in Iranian attacks. An additional 6 service members died last week when a KC-135 refueling aircraft crashed in Iraq.
The US and Israel have launched continuous attacks on multiple targets in Iran, killing Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and several high-ranking officials, as well as striking Hezbollah forces in Lebanon. The conflict has resulted in over 2,000 deaths to date, primarily in Iran and Lebanon.
