This marked the first activity of General Secretary and President To Lam's official visit to Thailand, which began on 27/5. At the relic site, General Secretary and President To Lam and his spouse observed one minute of silence in remembrance of President Ho Chi Minh, according to TTXVN.
Following the incense offering ceremony, the General Secretary and President visited the traditional stilt house, which holds many traces of President Ho Chi Minh's life and revolutionary activities in Thailand from 1928-1929. He then signed the guestbook and presented books and documents about President Ho Chi Minh to the relic site's management board.

In the guestbook, the General Secretary and President expressed appreciation for the Vietnamese community in Thailand. He acknowledged their dedication in preserving and restoring the relic site, maintaining unity, upholding Vietnamese language and cultural identity, and fostering friendship between the two nations.
The General Secretary and President expressed his wish that "the community will continue to uphold their patriotic traditions, make more positive contributions to their homeland, and serve as an important bridge for the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand."
General Secretary and President To Lam and his spouse also planted a commemorative tree at the relic site.
The President Ho Chi Minh relic site in Udon Thani has become a history learning center and museum, thanks to the contributions and preservation efforts of the local Vietnamese community. The site recreates President Ho Chi Minh's living space, featuring a traditional wooden house and simple belongings.

Annually, the relic site welcomes tens of thousands of visitors, including many delegations from Vietnam. It serves as a symbol of the strong friendship between Vietnam and Thailand.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Manh Cuong stated that the General Secretary and President's official visit highlights Vietnam's high regard for its relationship with Thailand and the broader Southeast Asian region. This visit also provides an opportunity for high-level leaders from both countries to discuss major directions for effectively implementing a new cooperation framework, thereby boosting bilateral relations in the coming period.
