At an event in Montreau park this morning, General Secretary, President To Lam, accompanied by his spouse and other delegates, offered flowers and respectfully observed a minute of silence for President Ho Chi Minh. Montreuil Mayor Patrice Bessac and National Secretary of the French Communist Party Fabien Roussel also attended the activity, according to TTXVN.
The visit holds particular significance as it coincides with the 115th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s first arrival in France (1911-2026). Montreau Park has long been a historically significant site for Vietnamese visitors to France, representing a profound connection between the two nations.
In his speech at the ceremony, General Secretary, President To Lam expressed his emotion and profound remembrance of President Ho Chi Minh’s contributions and his arduous journey abroad to seek national salvation. He also conveyed gratitude for the sentiments and assistance extended by the French people to President Ho Chi Minh during his time in France.

According to General Secretary, President To Lam, President Ho Chi Minh received companionship and assistance from French friends and comrades during his journey to save the country. This support contributed to laying the foundation for the enduring friendship between the two nations.
General Secretary, President To Lam also visited the Ho Chi Minh Space located within the "Living History Museum" in Montreau Park and signed the Golden Book. The Ho Chi Minh Space preserves images, artifacts, documents, newspapers, and photographs detailing President Ho Chi Minh’s activities during his years in France, alongside materials introducing his background and career. The Montreuil authorities consider this space a cultural heritage of the city.
General Secretary, President To Lam thanked the Montreuil authorities and people for preserving the Ho Chi Minh Space, recognizing it as an integral part of the city’s cultural heritage. He expressed confidence that Montreuil will continue to collaborate with Vietnam to preserve and promote the value of this space, thereby fostering the friendship and the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and France.

Mayor Patrice Bessac affirmed the deep relationship of friendship and solidarity shared between Montreuil and the Vietnamese people. Mayor Bessac emphasized that the history, solidarity, and friendship between the two nations are a source of pride for Montreuil and will continue to be preserved by the city. He expressed hope that Vietnam-France relations and cooperation with Montreuil will continue to develop, opening up new potential for both sides.
