British newspaper Express reported on 3/9, citing an anonymous source, that Charles Spencer, Princess Diana's brother, offered Harry and Meghan's family the chance to live at The Falcony, a 17th-century retreat within the Spencer family's Althorp estate in Northamptonshire.

The Falcony was Princess Diana's former home, and Harry was "genuinely touched" by his uncle Spencer's invitation, as the Althorp estate holds significant sentimental value for him, the source revealed. However, Meghan reportedly showed little interest in the historic residence.

"Meghan took a realistic view and concluded that the location was unsuitable. It's too remote, too far from London, and frankly, not luxurious enough," the source stated.

Harry and Meghan, along with their two children, Archie and Lilibet, returned to England from the United States last week to settle. The family is currently residing in a non-royal property in the Cotswolds.

"Meghan is not moving back to England to live in isolation in an old estate in Northamptonshire. She desires privacy, historical charm, and security, but also expects a high level of luxury, ample space, and convenient access to London," another source commented, adding that the Althorp estate did not meet these requirements.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams described Prince Harry and Meghan's decision to return to England as a "significant development".
