Former US President Donald Trump announced on 3/9 via Truth Social that he would demand European nations repay hundreds of billions of USD in aid the US provided to Ukraine and NATO. "Europe should have paid these amounts if they were asked. Though a bit late, we will reclaim this money," Trump wrote. He did not specify which countries would be responsible for these payments.

On 6/8, Trump had previously claimed that President Biden supplied Ukraine with "300 billion USD worth of ammunition." The origin of Trump's "300 billion USD" figure remains unclear. He previously stated Biden sent 500 billion USD in aid to Ukraine, while President Zelensky indicated the total amount was around 100 billion USD.

According to the Kiel Institute for the World Economy in Germany, Europe significantly increased its aid allocations to Ukraine earlier this year. However, the continent still relies heavily on US weapons to sustain military assistance to Kyiv.

In the same 3/9 post, Trump also refuted allegations that the US military is running low on ammunition for operations against Iran. "We possess a virtually endless supply of medium to high-quality ammunition," he stated, emphasizing that ammunition production is at "unprecedented levels in history."

He mentioned that Washington is increasing its stockpiles and preparing for contingencies, having temporarily halted foreign arms sales. "We are retaining our arsenal for the US itself instead of selling to others, but sales to allies will soon resume," he added.
