Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on 4/4 announced its 95th wave of strikes as part of the "True Promise 4" retaliatory operation against the US and Israel, using Haj Qassem, Kheibar Shekan, and Qadr ballistic missiles to target West Asia and Israel.
Video released by the force shows numerous missiles launching.
According to the IRGC, among the US targets attacked were HIMARS rocket artillery stationed on Bubiyan Island in Kuwait, Patriot air defense systems in northern Bahrain, assembly points for crews operating Washington-made missile systems, and locations where senior US commanders and military trainers were present in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The cargo ship MCS Ishika, which Iran claimed was Israeli-owned and flying a third country's flag, was attacked by the IRGC's naval forces while anchored at Bahrain's Khalifa bin Salman Port. Several areas in Israel, including the central city of Tel Aviv, were targeted by Qadr missiles "carrying multiple warheads."
US officials have not yet commented on the information.
The Times of Israel reported that Iran launched multiple waves of missiles into Israel's territory on 4/4, including cluster munition types, causing significant damage to homes and lightly injuring 6 people.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on the same day it had attacked infrastructure in Iran's capital, Tehran, but did not specify the targets. AFP news agency reporters heard multiple explosions in the city before thick grey smoke covered the skyline.
Iranian media reported that petrochemical facilities and a cement factory in the country's south were attacked.
The area near the Bushehr nuclear power plant was also hit, killing one person. Employees of Russia's national nuclear energy corporation, Rosatom, are currently working there to build new reactors. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova condemned the strike on the Bushehr plant area as an "evil" act.
After being attacked by the US and Israel on 28/2, Iran launched a retaliatory operation targeting military objectives and energy infrastructure in the Middle East with missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles.
Tehran also imposed a near-total blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, through which approximately 20% of the world's crude oil passes. Iran stated that "non-hostile vessels" could traverse the strait if they coordinated with Tehran and adhered to announced security regulations.
