General Abdolrahim Hatami, commander of Iran's army, has ordered military units nationwide to maintain full readiness and "leave no attacker alive" if an enemy launches a ground invasion. He stressed the armed forces must be prepared for all hostile scenarios, requiring constant readiness for both offensive and defensive operations.
During a meeting with army, air defense, air force, and navy commanders, Hatami addressed the current sensitive situation, stating that enemy activities require monitoring with utmost vigilance and absolute precision.

The army commander described recent statements by President Donald Trump about "changing Iran's map after the war" as clear evidence of the true intentions of the US and Israel. Hatami asserted these views show adversaries seeking to attack Iran's identity and existence.
President Trump has repeatedly stated that negotiations between the US and Iran were progressing well, but Tehran has consistently denied this, asserting it has not engaged in any talks with Washington.
On 29/3, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf accused the US of publicly signaling negotiations and dialogue while secretly preparing ground attack plans.
The Washington Post, citing unnamed US officials, reported that internal discussions within the Trump administration had addressed the possibility of seizing Kharg Island, Iran's key oil export center. These discussions also covered conducting raids on coastal areas to lift the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.
The official stated that the Pentagon had developed the plan for a landing in Iran over many weeks, amidst the deployment of thousands of marines and paratroopers to the Middle East. President Trump's final decision—whether to approve it entirely, partially, or reject it—remains unknown.
