Russia's Defense Ministry announced today that it continued "focused attacks on logistics facilities and naval assets supporting Ukrainian military operations," stating it used high-precision air-launched weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for this activity.
Video released showed Geran-4 "Siker" suicide UAVs striking warehouses in the cities of Vyshneve and Brovary, near the capital Kiev, causing large fires.
The targets mentioned by Russia's Defense Ministry included the Eridon and FM Logistics Dnipro logistics centers in Kiev province, reportedly used for storing and distributing military supplies and UAV components for the Ukrainian army. Also targeted were a vessel carrying "military equipment" docked in Chernomorsk port, a dry cargo vessel "transporting weapons and ammunition" in the Black Sea, and multiple storage and goods distribution hubs in Odessa province.
Reuters earlier cited witnesses stating that loud explosions shook central Kiev from early this morning, marking the seventh consecutive day Kiev has been targeted.
According to local officials, this wave of attacks injured 11 people and damaged a 6-story apartment building and a medical facility in Shevchenkivsky district. Holosiivsky district also reported a fire at an "educational facility."
Ukrainian Education Minister Andrii Butenko said Russia hit the Kiev National University of Food Technologies. President Volodymyr Zelensky stated the incident occurred during class, forcing 160 students into shelters, with no injuries reported.
Ukraine's Air Force Command reported Russia attacked the country with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles, two Kh-59/69 tactical cruise missiles, 174 various unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and Banderol hybrid UAV missiles. The main attack directions were Kiev and Odessa provinces.
"Air defense units shot down 141 targets, including 138 UAVs and three Banderol missiles. Russian missiles and UAVs hit 16 locations, with debris falling in four areas. Some enemy assets did not reach their targets; we are verifying the information," the agency stated.
Ukrainian officials did not mention the logistics facilities targeted by Russia.

The attack occurred as Ukraine faces shortages of various interceptor weapons and air-to-air missiles for fighter jets. Meanwhile, Russia increased ballistic missile launches against Ukraine, which has almost no defense against this type of weapon.
President Vladimir Putin said on 1/9 that Russia is winning the conflict with Ukraine and has ordered the military to prepare for a "large-scale strike operation."
He emphasized that Moscow supports negotiations to end the war rather than merely freezing the conflict, reiterating that Russia is ready for dialogue with President Donald Trump's envoy. "If someone offers or can offer a practical contribution to this process, we fully welcome it. The only thing we want to avoid is a protracted process that yields no results," President Putin said.
