A witness told Reuters that more than 10 ambulances were seen heading to King Khalid Airport, and passengers were evacuated from several areas after loud explosions. A local hospital source indicated that "dozens of people" were injured, with 5 receiving intensive care.
King Khalid Airport issued a statement advising passengers to check their flight status before traveling.
A video posted by Faytuks Network, an open-source intelligence monitoring network, showed bloodstains on the floor and emergency response vehicles at the scene. Faytuks Network added that there were fatalities based on images verified by the network, but did not publish them.
The Houthi armed group has not yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
The International Media Center, an agency overseeing foreign media in Saudi Arabia, has not released a comment.

King Khalid Airport has been targeted multiple times this week, following a large-scale campaign launched by Saudi-backed Yemeni government forces against the Houthi forces.
Saudi civil aviation officials stated on 9/10 that three citizens, including a pilot, were killed after attacks on the airport and a Saudia airline plane.
Fighting in Yemen between government forces and Houthi forces has recently escalated. The Saudi-led coalition is providing air support to help government forces reverse the armed group's advances along the Red Sea.
Gaining these areas allows Houthi forces to better monitor maritime activity on a crucial alternative route to the Strait of Hormuz, which is almost closed due to conflict between the US and Iran.
Saudi Arabia has sought assistance from the US and other allies, as airports, military facilities, and oil infrastructure have been repeatedly attacked by the Houthi.
US President Donald Trump expressed dissatisfaction on 9/10 regarding the attack on Riyadh's airport. However, there is no indication that the US will provide military support to Saudi Arabia in response to these attacks.
