The Kuwait Civil Aviation Directorate (DGCA) today released security camera footage from around Kuwait International Airport in Farwaniya province. The video shows an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) striking the roof of a structure, followed by a large explosion and dense smoke.
Another camera angle revealed the UAV's appearance, resembling an Iranian-made Shahed-136 model.

Local officials identified the strike zone as Terminal one of Kuwait International Airport. The attack resulted in one fatality and 63 injuries. The DGCA suspended flight operations at the facility, diverting aircraft to other locations before Kuwait Airways flights resumed.
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) denied responsibility for the airport attack. However, it accused Kuwait and Bahrain of facilitating the United States' use of their territories to attack Iran. The IRGC also claimed to have targeted Ali Al Salem airbase, a key US military installation in Kuwait.
Iran launched a barrage of missiles and UAVs at Kuwait early this morning. Kuwait's Ministry of Defense announced it intercepted 13 ballistic missiles and 17 UAVs, describing the action as an "act of aggression".
Following the attack, Kuwait expelled two members of Iran's diplomatic mission and issued a formal protest. Kuwait also denied accusations of allowing foreign nations to use its airspace and territory against another state.
