Noodle shop launches 'leather jacket war god' meal set after Jensen Huang's visit

A black bean sauce noodle shop in Beijing is selling a meal set featuring dishes that billionaire Jensen Huang enjoyed there.

A Beijing black bean sauce noodle shop, Fang Zhuang Chang, has launched a special "Chien than ao da" (Leather Jacket War God) meal set following a visit from Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang on 15/5. Huang, who was accompanying US President Donald Trump during a visit to China, is known as "Chien than ao da" among Chinese people for his signature black leather jacket attire. The new meal set features a noodle bowl, priced at 38 yuan (6 USD), and a yogurt cup, costing 7 yuan (1 USD), both of which Huang consumed during his visit.

Huang's visit sparked a business boom for the shop, with customers waiting at least 30 minutes to be served, according to shop manager Jiang Panpan. His appearance on Beijing streets also attracted significant public attention, with related online videos garnering over 200 million views.

On 15/5, due to the large crowd, Huang and his entourage ate standing outside the shop. He engaged with other diners, asking: "Have you eaten here before?", before tasting the noodles and exclaiming: "It's delicious!". Beijing-style black bean sauce noodles are a popular dish in the Chinese capital, typically served with minced pork sauce and crispy vegetables.

While enjoying his noodles, Huang was offered douzhi, a traditional fermented soybean milk from Beijing. This drink is often unpopular due to its strong sour taste, which resembles spoiled food. Huang took a sip, immediately frowning and asking: "What is this?". His reaction amused Chinese netizens. Following his noodle meal, Huang also visited a Mixue store, where he ordered a peach tea for less than 10 yuan (1,5 USD). This visit subsequently led to a surge in sales for the drink across China.
