In the early hours of the same day, the US military launched a swift raid on Caracas, attacking key military bases. Approximately 150 aircraft, deployed from 20 bases, conducted airstrikes on multiple targets in Venezuela, facilitating the entry of helicopter squadrons into Caracas. These helicopters transported US special forces and law enforcement personnel to execute arrest warrants for President Nicolas Maduro and his wife.

Anti-war protests erupted in Chicago, Illinois.
"While the US wages imperialist wars, our domestic public infrastructure and social programs suffer," stated the Chicago Anti-War Committee, one of the organizing groups. "We do not want taxpayers' money used to fuel war, nor do we want the government to wage war against the sovereign nation of Venezuela!"

Protests against the US government's raid on Venezuela also occurred in Boston, Massachusetts.
The Venezuelan leader and his wife are scheduled to appear in federal court in Manhattan, New York, next week. Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez condemned the "kidnapping" of President Maduro and his wife, demanding their immediate release by the US. She also rejected any possibility of cooperation with the Trump administration.
