White House attacks CNN for questioning Trump's assistant

The White House strongly criticized a CNN reporter for questioning US President Donald Trump about his relationship with assistant Natalie Harp.

US President Donald Trump's assistant, Natalie Harp, recently drew attention as one of his most trusted and loyal staff members. She accompanied him during a secret evacuation from Air Force One in Turkey, while several ministers and senior officials remained on the plane as a decoy.

Last weekend, Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff remarked that the White House chief "prefers to be with Natalie Harp" and "build a ballroom" rather than perform presidential duties.

During an Oval Office event on 17/8, held to honor a brave rescue worker, CNN reporter Kristen Holmes asked Trump to respond to Senator Ossoff's comments.

"Are you talking about that Pee-wee Herman-like guy? I'd rather do other things. We are building a great structure here. We are renovating the White House, which had not been properly maintained," Trump replied, mocking Senator Ossoff by comparing him to a comedic character.

Although Trump did not mention Harp, the White House "Rapid Response" team immediately attacked Holmes on social media platform X, stating: "One day, your children will come across this offensive and inhumane question of yours."

The "Rapid Response" team's X account continued: "The president hosted a brave rescue worker in the Oval Office, yet Holmes used that opportunity for a cheap shot aimed at a president's staff member. Such individuals are beneath contempt."

US President Trump later continued to strongly criticize Holmes for "extremely disrespectful" behavior when she asked about North Korea.

"You are disruptive. You are fake news, be quiet," Trump told Holmes.

CNN stated that the attacks on Holmes were "unbecoming of the presidency."

"We firmly stand by Holmes and strongly condemn these attacks," CNN announced.

Harp, 34, frequently accompanies Trump at many events. She is also nicknamed the US President's "living printer" because she is always seen carrying large printouts of emails, articles, and social media posts for Trump's reference.
