A gathering place for young custom motorcycle enthusiasts in Hanoi

Dozens of custom bike owners brought their modified vehicles to display and interact at a youth entertainment complex.

On 21-22/3, dozens of two-wheel vehicle owners gathered at an event organized by a custom bike group in Hanoi. The fashion and entertainment complex allowed owners and attendees to admire unique custom bikes and discuss their shared passion for vehicles.

On 21-22/3, a custom bike event in Hanoi brought together dozens of two-wheel vehicle owners at a youth fashion and entertainment complex. This gathering allowed owners and attendees to admire unique custom bikes and discuss their shared passion.

The entertainment complex's founder, a Hanoi-based enthusiast, owns numerous unique custom two-wheel vehicles like Piaggio Vespa, Honda Dio, Honda QR50, alongside cars such as a Porsche 911 and Mini Cooper S.

The entertainment complex's founder, a Hanoi-based enthusiast, owns numerous unique custom two-wheel vehicles, including Piaggio Vespa, Honda Dio, and Honda QR50, alongside cars such as a Porsche 911 and Mini Cooper S.

Teddy, a 25-year-old French national, visited the complex for clothing but was surprised by the unique vehicles. He remarked, "In France, I don't own a scooter, and it's uncommon to see motorcycle brands other than Vespa. Most bikes remain original or only feature a rear storage box, lacking the distinctive upgrades common in Vietnam."

Five first-generation Honda Dio models were displayed, including SP and SR versions. Each showcased a distinct customization style, reflecting its owner's personality. The original Dio features a 49 cc two-stroke engine, known for its simple, compact design, ideal for urban commuting and popular with young people in Japan. Without a side stand, some owners removed the center stand, opting for specialized support stands.

A lineup of Honda SH bikes showcased distinct styles, each customized to its owner's taste and needs.

Vu Khoa An, a member of the North Scooter group, explained that the group, formed two years ago, had long envisioned an event for bike owners to connect. With few venues in Hanoi for two-wheel enthusiasts to gather freely, this event was a rare opportunity to cultivate the custom bike scene in the northern region.

Khoa An showcased two Honda bikes: an SH350i and an SH Mode, each uniquely styled. His 2023 SH350i, purchased for 119 million dong, received extensive upgrades including a rear fender, carbon air filter cover, suspension, and a steering damper, bringing the total investment to approximately 180 million dong. The braking system, valued at 40 million dong, was the most expensive component, while the custom exhaust system stood out as one of only three in Hanoi.

The sole Honda Stylo 160 at the event showcased a three-tone white, black, and blue color scheme. Its minimalist upgrades highlighted small details. The Honda Stylo features a neo-retro design, with a front end reminiscent of the Vespa Sprint or Lambretta. Powered by a 4-valve, 160 cc, eSP+ single-cylinder engine, this model is imported from Indonesia and typically costs 70-75 million dong.

An's other SH Mode, designated as a display bike, featured unique upgrades. Due to its lower initial cost, the total investment for the vehicle and accessories was approximately 100 million dong. A distinctive feature was the Stage 6 R/T shock absorber, centrally mounted on the frame. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, this component enhanced the bike's balance during high-speed cornering, preventing rear-end instability.

A collection of Honda Dream and Honda Wave bikes from a Hanoi group were meticulously maintained and displayed on individual mats. Each bike exhibited a distinct style, reflecting its owner's personal touch.

The event also featured a Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4, upgraded to the SVJ version, which generated excitement and drew attendees. This supercar previously appeared at the Vietnam Mobility Show 2025.

A group of Malaysian tourists were notably impressed, stopping to photograph the bike display. The entertainment complex consistently attracts foreign visitors.
