B-segment sedan sales in November reached 4,507 units, marking a 14% increase from October and the highest monthly volume this year. This notable improvement in purchasing power towards the year-end was particularly evident for the two leading models: Toyota Vios and Honda City.
Toyota Vios sold 1,554 units in November, establishing a new sales peak for the year and surpassing its previous record of 1,402 units set in October. This performance allowed Vios to maintain its number one position in the segment and extend its lead over competitors in cumulative sales for the first 11 months.
Meanwhile, Honda City closely followed with 1,550 units, just 4 units fewer than Vios in November. The Honda sedan's sales increased by over 260 units from the previous month, reflecting improved purchasing power towards the year-end. The narrow gap between City and Vios indicates a more intense race at the segment's top as City consistently maintained its growth momentum. However, in cumulative sales over 11 months, City remains thousands of units behind Vios.
Hyundai Accent ranked third with 656 units, a slight increase from 609 units in October. Despite positive growth in November, Accent's sales were considerably lower than the two segment leaders. As Vios and City experienced strong growth, the gap between Accent and the top contenders widened, indicating that Hyundai's sedan has not kept pace with the surge of its Japanese rivals during the peak year-end period.
In the lower tier, Mazda2 recorded 591 units, a significant improvement from the previous month, maintaining a stable position in the mid-segment. Mitsubishi Attrage sold 123 units, while Kia Soluto achieved only 33 units, remaining at the bottom of the segment. Sales for these models have shown little fluctuation in recent months.

Entering the year-end period, the overall oto market and the B-segment sedan segment experienced a clear improvement in purchasing power. This was driven by increased demand for vehicles for travel, business, and new year preparations. In addition to seasonal factors, promotional programs from manufacturers and dealers continued to play a crucial role in stimulating demand, helping the entire segment maintain its growth momentum.
Given current trends, B-segment sedans are expected to remain active in the year's final month, though the competitive landscape at the top is unlikely to change significantly.
