A motorcyclist was fatally struck by a container truck on 12/7 at km 13, Yen Son, after a reckless road crossing. The incident occurred when the motorcyclist, waiting on the right shoulder, darted across the road immediately after a truck passed. An oncoming container truck then collided directly with the motorcycle, throwing both the rider and the vehicle a significant distance. The motorcyclist died at the scene. Local authorities promptly arrived to manage the incident.

Traffic safety experts from Car Awards attributed the accident to the motorcyclist's careless crossing and lack of observation. They highlighted that the rider's critical error was attempting to cross the road immediately after a truck had passed. This action created a dangerous blind spot, as the passing truck effectively obscured the view between the motorcycle and the rapidly approaching container truck, making the collision inevitable.
To prevent similar tragedies, motorcyclists must exercise extreme caution. It is crucial to never cross a road where visibility is obstructed and to always wait until the path is completely clear of oncoming traffic.
