The Ducati Formula Sport 73 will be available in Q1.
The original 750 Super Sport Desmo was a replica of the 750 Imola Desmo, which Paul Smart and Bruno Spaggiari rode to victory at the 200 Miglia di Imola race in 1972. This event was Europe's first competition for production motorcycles, later evolving into Formula 750 in 1980, a precursor to today's modern World Superbike category.
The Formula Sport 73 is based on the Scrambler Cafe Racer, incorporating the distinctive front fairing typical of cafe racers. Its silver and turquoise painted logo evokes the original "blue frame" racing version. The model features led lighting and a 4,3-inch color tft display.
A vertical yellow stripe on the fuel tank harks back to the original unpainted stripe on the 750 Imola Desmo, which allowed race teams to check fuel levels without a gauge. Race-style components are supplied by Rizoma, including the brake levers, gear shift lever with integrated reservoir, footpegs, and fuel tank cap.
The Formula Sport 73 utilizes Ducati's air-cooled V-twin Desmodue engine, with an 803 cc displacement, producing 73 horsepower at 8,250 rpm. It also integrates modern electronic systems, including dct traction control, cornering abs, ducati quick shift, and two riding modes.
Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati has not disclosed the price of the Formula Sport 73. It will be available in Q1/2026.
