The Ram 1500 is the first model from the US brand to be sold in Vietnam under the distributor Thaco, which previously was JVA. This full-size pickup model is set to launch and announce its price on 30/5.
During the Stellantis Rally (23-24/5), an event exclusively for the media, a Thaco representative stated that the Ram 1500 will be available in two versions: Rebel and RHO. Both are mid-cycle refresh models for the 2026 lineup, featuring several equipment changes compared to their predecessors.

The Ram 1500’s overall exterior has not changed much. The brand refined some minor details, such as slimmer LED headlights and a grille featuring the Ram lettering within the mesh. The rear of the vehicle also has slight changes, with smaller and more angular taillights.
Inside, the arrangement of details is similar between the new and old versions. However, the central infotainment screen increased from 12 inches to 14,5 inches. The brand also added a 10,25-inch auxiliary screen for the driver's seat in the new version.
The second-row seats of the Ram 1500 now have power adjustment, reclining an additional 10 degrees. In the previous version, this seat position was fixed.
The interior of the US full-size pickup model retains its advantage of spaciousness in both rows, with abundant amenities. Type-A and Type-C charging ports are distributed throughout both rows.

Thaco has not yet announced detailed specifications for the Ram 1500 Rebel and RHO. Regarding the engine, the company confirmed it is a 3-liter twin-turbo 6-cylinder type, producing 420 horsepower and 636 Nm of torque in the Rebel version. The RHO version also uses a similar engine but with higher output: 540 horsepower and 706 Nm of torque. Both are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and part-time four-wheel drive (4WD).
The previous version of the Ram 1500 Rebel, distributed by JVA, was equipped with a 5,7-liter V8 naturally aspirated engine, producing 395 horsepower and 556 Nm of torque. The new version features a 3-liter I6 engine. The RHO version, distributed by Thaco, is making its debut in Vietnam.
The selling price of the Ram 1500 Rebel under the old distributor was nearly 5,4 billion VND. Thaco stated that with a smaller engine displacement, the new Ram 1500 Rebel is expected to have a lower price.
In Vietnam, only Ram is present in the full-size pickup segment. Major competitors like Ford and Toyota have not yet started sales. Ford, however, offers the high-performance Ranger Raptor priced at 1,448 billion VND.
