Range Rover GT: all-electric SUV unveiled

The fifth model in the Range Rover family is positioned as a new grand tourer, featuring an all-electric powertrain and launching in late 2026.

British luxury car brand Land Rover has unveiled the Range Rover GT, the fifth model in the Range Rover family. Positioned as a new grand tourer (GT), this vehicle expands the brand's product range alongside the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Velar, and Range Rover Evoque.

The Range Rover GT will be the first all-electric vehicle (BEV) in the Range Rover family, developed on the new EMA platform. It will be manufactured in Halewood, England. At launch, the Range Rover GT will be introduced as an all-electric model, with hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) powertrains to be added in later stages of its product cycle.

Martin Limpert, Range Rover Managing Director, stated: "The Range Rover GT will redefine the grand tourer segment with its design, comfort on long journeys, and operational performance. This model embodies the ultimate touring spirit while retaining the unmistakable Range Rover capability, now realized on the electrified EMA architecture."

The new Range Rover GT emphasizes an interior guided by a philosophy of minimalism, precision, and modernity. The cabin integrates technology with an entirely new single screen, replacing the traditional instrument cluster and complemented by a dedicated driver's display. Air vents are discreetly positioned, extending across the full width of the cabin.

The manufacturer uses premium woven fabric materials that envelop the dashboard, while the speaker system is discreetly hidden within. Every interior detail of the Range Rover GT focuses on tranquility, minimizing distractions, and natural voice interaction. According to Range Rover, second-row legroom is the largest in its segment.

Prototype test vehicles are currently completing their final evaluations. These prototypes feature unique camouflage designed by Range Rover. Inspired by the natural surroundings of Gaybon, the camouflage decal uses local topographic map lines to create a flowing, gilded pattern. This design language reflects the latest integrated technologies, underscoring that this is the most technologically complex vehicle ever built by the brand.

According to the plan, the Range Rover GT will make its global debut in late 2026.
