Ford Vietnam is entering the domestic electric vehicle market with its first all-electric offering: the Mustang Mach-E GT. Dealerships are currently accepting deposits for early deliveries.
Sales consultants at dealerships have confirmed the Mustang Mach-E GT will be imported from the US. Following the discontinuation of the Explorer, with no current plans to resume imports, the Mustang Mach-E GT becomes the sole US-imported model. Vietnam and the US are currently in trade discussions regarding import tariffs.

The Mustang Mach-E GT, a coupe-styled crossover, debuted in 2019. It's considered the all-electric SUV counterpart to the Mustang sports sedan.
In the US, the Mustang Mach-E GT comes in 4 versions, priced between 37,995 and 58,490 USD. The specific version for the Vietnamese market remains undisclosed. Import tariffs, excise taxes, value-added tax, and other sales, marketing, and administrative costs could double or triple the US price.
The Mustang Mach-E GT has a wheelbase of 2,984 mm, with overall dimensions of 4,739 mm in length, 1,881 mm in width, and 1,621 mm in height. Its wheelbase is comparable to the VinFast VF 8, a D-segment electric CUV, at 2,950 mm. Wheel sizes range from 19 to 20 inches, depending on the version.
The Mustang Mach-E GT's design exudes sportiness, with a sloping C-pillar and a full-width front grille. The LED headlights feature three-bar daytime running lights, echoing the gas-powered Mustang. Like its gasoline counterpart, the Mach-E GT sports the Mustang horse emblem instead of the Ford logo.
The interior blends simplicity with modern features. Contrasting stitching on the seats and dashboard accents the car's sporty character. Standard features include a 15.5-inch infotainment screen, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, and automatic climate control.
Two battery options are available for the Mustang Mach-E GT. The standard rear-wheel-drive configuration with a 73 kWh battery offers a range of approximately 418 km. The same battery paired with all-wheel drive provides a range of around 386 km.
The upgraded 88 kWh battery with all-wheel drive extends the range to approximately 482 km. Ford offers both 11 kW and 115-150 kW fast charging. Using a 48 Ah charger and a 240 V outlet, a full charge takes between 7.7 and 7.8 hours.
The standard battery version delivers 264 hp and 525 Nm of torque in rear-wheel drive, and 325 hp and 678 Nm with all-wheel drive. The upgraded battery with all-wheel drive boasts a combined output of 370 hp and 678 Nm of torque from its dual motors.
