German police showcase official vehicle fleet like a speed game

A police officer holds a video game controller as specialized vehicle models appear sequentially, mirroring the style of selecting race cars.

The video, posted on the Freiburg Police Department's fan page in Germany on 11/5, attracted significant attention for its distinct style compared to typical security news reports. The video's music and "actors" create a relaxed, youthful, and approachable atmosphere.

The featured vehicles include: the BMW X1, Mercedes Vito, Mercedes E-class, Mercedes Sprinter, Volkswagen Transporter, and Audi A6 Avant. Also showcased are a BMW R 1250 RT moto, bicycles, and even a horse, which appears at the video's conclusion. Each vehicle's appearance includes key performance indicators: maximum speed, acceleration, and handling.

German police vehicles are typically silver with prominent blue or green reflective stripes, displaying the word "Polizei."

The Freiburg Police Department is part of the Baden-Württemberg state police force, which currently operates a fleet of over 5,300 vehicles. Beyond traditional internal combustion engine models, the fleet increasingly includes hybrid and pure electric vehicles, such as the BMW X1 xDrive30e and Audi Q4 e-tron.
