The Honda Accord D-segment sedan is no longer listed on Honda Vietnam's official website. A representative from Honda Vietnam stated that the company has sold out its stock of the previous generation Accord and currently has no plans to import a new version into the country. This move means the sedan will cease sales in Vietnam after many years in the premium sedan segment.
In 2025, the Accord was among the slowest-selling D-segment sedans. For the entire year, the model sold only 42 units, with monthly sales often reaching single digits, and some months even recording zero. This figure was significantly lower than the Toyota Camry (2,489 units) and Kia K5 (267 units), and even trailed the Mazda6 with 56 units, despite Mazda's model ceasing sales in the final quarter of 2025.

Accord's modest sales occurred amidst a broader trend of the shrinking D-segment sedan market, as customers gradually shift to SUVs, crossovers, and electric vehicles.
Beyond market factors, the Accord in Vietnam faced disadvantages in product and positioning. The model was only distributed in one version, priced higher than most competitors in the segment, while its equipment and design saw few changes over the years. In contrast, the best-selling D-segment sedan, the Camry, received a hybrid version update and offered multiple options for customers to choose from, helping it maintain more stable sales.
Currently, the D-segment sedan market in Vietnam only has one Japanese representative, Camry, and one Korean representative, Kia K5. The recent discontinuation of both Mazda6 and Accord leaves the D-segment sedan category in Vietnam almost entirely to Toyota Camry, as this model holds a dominant advantage over its Korean competitor. Amidst declining demand for D-segment sedans, the Camry now faces less direct competitive pressure in this segment.
Although the Accord has ceased sales in Vietnam, the sedan is still distributed in other markets in Southeast Asia, especially Thailand. In August 2025, Honda launched the 2025 Accord e:HEV with an entirely new hybrid powertrain, available in three versions and equipped with many modern safety technologies. Starting prices in Thailand range from 45,300 to 52,900 USD (equivalent to 1,2-1,4 billion VND).
