During the launch event for its new electric scooter model UC3 on the morning of 10/1 in Hanoi, Japanese automaker Honda announced the pricing strategy for the CUV e: electric scooter in the Vietnamese market, following a short rental period.

Specifically, starting 26/3, Honda offers two purchase options for customers:
Option one: The vehicle is sold with two batteries and two chargers, priced at 65 million dong.
Option two: The vehicle is sold without batteries (includes two chargers) for 45 million dong, plus a rental fee of 250,000 dong per month for two batteries.
Additionally, starting in April, Honda Vietnam will launch a battery swap station system for CUV e: models utilizing battery rental, with no additional fees for swapping batteries.
The CUV e: was launched in the Vietnamese market on 12/4/2025, alongside the Honda ICON e:. Beginning 14/7/2025, the CUV e: became available for distribution via a rental model, which includes two batteries and two chargers. This initial distribution was in limited quantities across Hanoi, TP HCM, and Da Nang. The monthly rental price for the CUV e: is 1,5 million dong, inclusive of 10% VAT, with additional incentives offered for multi-month payment packages.
The CUV e: features a sleek, curvy design. It is equipped with a rear-wheel electric motor delivering 8 horsepower and 22 Nm of torque. Two removable lithium-ion batteries are positioned under the seat; each battery boasts a capacity of 29,4 Ah and weighs 10,2 kg. The scooter offers an operating range of 80,7 km and achieves a top speed of 83 km/h. According to official figures, charging the battery from 0-100% takes 6 hours, while a 25-75% charge can be achieved in 2,7 hours.
