Japanese automaker Honda launched the UC3, a new electric scooter, in Thailand on 9/1, making it the first country in Southeast Asia to receive the model. The UC3 is priced at 4,200 USD. Honda may introduce the UC3 in Vietnam soon.
The UC3 is an electric scooter equipped with a fixed battery, offering performance comparable to a 110 cc internal combustion engine motorcycle. Its design is based on the concept of an "Intelligent Urban Life Partner."

The UC3 utilizes Honda's first fixed LFP battery, which, according to the company, provides a 122 km range per full charge. The scooter uses the CHAdeMO charging standard for two-wheelers. Honda offers two chargers: 450 W and 1,200 W, with estimated charging times as follows:
| Estimated Charging Time | 450 W | 1,200 W |
| 0-100% | 9 h | 4 h |
| 20-80% | 5 h | 2 h |
Honda equipped the UC3 with an in-wheel electric motor, developed and manufactured by the company, delivering 8 horsepower. The scooter offers three riding modes: Standard, Sport, and ECON, to suit various driving conditions and preferences. Additionally, the UC3 includes a reverse mode, simplifying maneuvering when parking or backing up.
The UC3's exterior design features smooth, flowing curves from front to back, with a focus on the rear. It is equipped with a distinctive horizontal headlight, a design element first seen on Honda's WN7 electric scooter. A curved LED taillight further enhances its appearance. A wide footrest and high handlebars ensure a comfortable riding position.
Coinciding with the UC3's launch, Honda is expanding its charging station infrastructure for fixed-battery electric scooters at authorized dealerships in Thailand. The company plans to increase the number of CHAdeMO charging stations for motorcycles at dealerships and shopping centers in and around Bangkok.
Honda will produce the UC3 at its factory in Thailand starting 12/2025, supplying both Thailand and Vietnam. The UC3 is expected to be assembled in Vietnam in 2026, though the manufacturer has not disclosed a specific timeline.
