The traffic situation unfolded in darkness, on a rainy road with limited visibility. The door of a truck parked roadside suddenly swung open just as a woman on a motorcycle approached from the same direction. The door struck the motorcyclist forcefully, knocking her down. Her injuries are currently unknown.

Driving skills: Vehicles must not stop or park indiscriminately, as this obstructs traffic. Importantly, before opening a door, drivers and passengers must check the front, rear, and sides of the vehicle. The initial step is to open the door slightly, about 15 cm, and observe carefully to ensure no people or vehicles are approaching. If it is safe, continue to open the door slowly to exit.

According to Decree 168/2024, drivers who open a vehicle door or leave it open unsafely face a fine of 4-6 million dong. If this action causes a traffic accident, the violator will be fined 20-22 million dong and have 10 points deducted from their driver's license.
