Honda UC3 launched in Vietnam, on sale from June

The new electric motorcycle features an 8 horsepower electric motor, a 3,174 kWh LFP battery, a 120 km operating range, and CHAdeMO charging standard.

Honda introduced the new UC3 electric motorcycle to Vietnamese customers on 10/1 in Hanoi. This model marks Honda's third electric vehicle to be sold in Vietnam, following the CUV e: and ICON e:.

The UC3 is Honda's first electric vehicle in Southeast Asia to feature a fixed LFP battery. The battery meets IP67 waterproofing standards and UNR136 safety standards for batteries and electricity, with its casing made from aluminum alloy.

The UC3 features horizontal LED headlights and an integrated LED daytime running light strip with turn signals. The front also includes a windshield. The headlights are inspired by the Honda WN7.

The charging port is located above the headlight cluster, beneath the windshield. The UC3 utilizes the CHAdeMO charging standard, designed for two-wheeled vehicles.

The UC3 is equipped with a 3,174 kWh LFP battery, offering a 120 km operating range on a full charge. The vehicle comes with a standard 1,200 W charger, allowing a 0-100% charge in 4 hours and a 20-80% charge in approximately 2 hours. Customers also have an optional 450 W charger.

The UC3 features a high handlebar. It also uses a smart key system.

A Honda representative stated that the UC3 will initially be imported directly from Thailand, with local assembly in Vietnam planned for 2026.

A 5-inch digital display connects with Honda RoadSync technology, enabling users to link with smartphones via bluetooth for calls, navigation, and other features.

The left handlebar cluster features multiple control buttons. The UC3 electric motorcycle also includes a reverse gear, simplifying maneuvering when parking or backing up.

The vehicle offers three riding modes: Standard, Sport, and ECON, to suit various driving conditions and preferences.

The rear of the vehicle features soft, rounded details.

The UC3 is equipped with an 8 horsepower electric motor in the rear wheel, delivering 22 Nm of torque.

The footboard is spacious.

Honda positions the UC3 in the mid-range segment, alongside the ICON e:, and below the CUV e: which is in the premium segment.

Under-seat storage accommodates personal items and a half-face helmet.

The LED taillight is sleek and curved.

The front storage compartment includes a USB-C charging port.

The Honda UC3 is available in two versions: Standard and Special, with three color options.

During the launch event, Honda announced the deployment of charging stations and battery swap stations at HEAD electric vehicle dealerships. The Honda Motor Charger Hub system is designated for the UC3 and future models, while the Honda e: Swap Battery Station is for the CUV e:.

Vietnam is the second market after Thailand to launch the UC3. In Thailand, the UC3 is priced at 4,200 USD.
