To stimulate purchasing demand for the 2026 Lunar New Year, Japanese automaker Honda launched a promotional program, including registration fee incentives and sales price reductions, for its three key automobile models in the Vietnamese market in february.
A notable aspect of this promotion is its focus on vehicles manufactured in 2025 (VIN25). This is a common strategy for automakers at the beginning of a new year, aiming to clear old inventory to prepare for new products.

Specifically, the C-segment sedan Civic e:HEV RS and the CR-V crossover line (G and L variants) both receive substantial incentives if they belong to the 2025 production batch.
The top-tier Civic variant offers a 50% registration fee reduction, equivalent to nearly 60 million VND. The Civic e:HEV becomes an attractive choice for customers who appreciate technology and driving feel while also seeking fuel efficiency. This incentive for the Civic hybrid variant demonstrates Honda's desire to popularize green vehicles.
The CR-V, in particular, receives a direct cash deduction of 80 million VND, a convincing figure that could sway customers deliberating in the fiercely competitive C-segment high-clearance vehicle market. This 80 million VND is considered a bargain for families needing a durable 5+2 seat high-clearance vehicle. Despite being from the 2025 production year, there are no technical or equipment differences compared to the 2026 production batch, while the price is lower.
As for the City, Honda's best-selling model, it continues to receive a 50% registration fee incentive, equivalent to a reduction of 30-34 million VND. This makes the City's on-the-road price more accessible, directly putting pressure on rivals such as the Toyota Vios and Hyundai Accent.
The City targets first-time car buyers or those in the service business. The reduced registration fee helps lower initial investment costs, a decisive factor in the B-segment sedan category.
Both the City and Civic apply a 10% registration fee rate, regardless of the locality where the vehicle is registered.
