On 14/9, Mitsubishi Vietnam introduced the Triton 4WD AT Premium, priced at 782 million VND. This new variant matches the price of the existing 2WD AT Premium. The other two variants of Mitsubishi's Japanese pickup, imported from Thailand, include the 2WD AT GLX at 655 million VND and the top-tier 4WD AT Athlete at 924 million VND.

In September, the 4WD Premium variant receives a 100% registration fee discount, valued at 46 million VND, along with a 12 million VND gift package.

The Triton 4WD AT Premium measures 5,320 mm long, 1,865 mm wide, and 1,795 mm high. It features a 3,130 mm wheelbase and 222 mm ground clearance. These dimensions are identical to the 2WD AT Premium variant.

The cargo bed dimensions remain unchanged at 1,470 mm long, 1,545 mm wide, and 520 mm high, with a bed floor height of 821 mm. A new addition to this variant is a power assist bar for opening and closing the tailgate. The exterior design adheres to the new-generation Triton's styling, with a large grille, LED lights, embossed lines on the body, and flared wheel arches. The vehicle uses 265/60R18 wheels and tires, with LED headlights and fog lights.

The vehicle shows no changes in design or dimensions compared to the entry-level variant.

The interior maintains a simple, practical approach.

Inside the cabin, the Premium variant features a push-button start, automatic air conditioning, a 9-inch touchscreen display with 6 speakers, and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster.

For safety features, the 4WD AT Premium includes: active yaw control, 7 airbags, a speed limiter, hill descent control, electronic stability control, traction control, cruise control, and a reverse camera.

However, the 4WD AT Premium variant lacks the active driving assistance systems found in the Athlete variant. These include: forward collision mitigation, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, automatic high beams, and rear cross traffic alert.

A notable difference lies in the powertrain. The 2WD AT Premium uses a two-wheel drive system, while the new Premium variant is equipped with super select 4WD-II, a rear differential lock, and 7 off-road driving modes. The engine, however, remains a 2.4-liter MIVEC turbo diesel engine, producing 181 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The top-tier Athlete variant uses a bi-turbo engine.

Additionally, the vehicle offers 4 drive modes: 2H, 4H, 4HLc, and 4LLc. It also includes an electronic rear differential lock and 7 driving modes: normal, eco, gravel, snow, mud, sand, and rock. These features were previously exclusive to the top-tier 4WD Athlete variant since the new-generation Triton launched.

In the four-wheel drive pickup segment, the Triton 4WD AT Premium's direct competitor is the Ford Ranger XLS 2.0 4x4 AT, priced at 776 million VND. The Ranger uses a 2.0-liter diesel engine producing 168 horsepower and 405 Nm of torque with a 10-speed automatic transmission. In comparison, the Triton offers a 2.4-liter engine producing 181 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque, coupled with a 6-speed transmission.
