Motorcyclist cuts across traffic, causing accident

A motorcyclist cut across multiple vehicles at a roundabout, colliding with another vehicle and knocking down its rider on 14/12 in My Duc.

The incident occurred at a busy roundabout where a motorcyclist sped quickly without slowing down, cutting across a stream of other motorcycles to make a right turn. Due to high speed and a blind spot, the motorcycle collided directly with another vehicle, causing both riders to fall onto the road. Both individuals were able to stand up after the impact.

Drivers approaching roundabouts must reduce speed, signal their intentions, and gradually merge with the flow of traffic. It is crucial to avoid cutting across or swerving in front of other vehicles, as this poses a significant safety risk to oneself and other road users.

The fundamental principle for entering a roundabout is to first determine your intended exit to select the appropriate lane. For a U-turn, drivers should stay in the innermost lane, close to the center of the roundabout. If turning right, it is essential to use the outermost lane to avoid cutting across the main flow of traffic.
