German sports car manufacturer Porsche has unveiled a new 911 GT3 special edition for the global market. Named the 911 GT3 90 F.A.P, where F.A.P stands for Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, this exclusive model commemorates the 90th birthday of the man credited as the father of the 911 series. Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, who passed away in 2012, was also the grandson of company founder Ferdinand Porsche and the creator of icons like the 904 Carrera GTS and the 801 Formula One race car. Limited to just 90 units worldwide, each vehicle is priced at 387,000 USD and comes with a matching Chronograph 1 wristwatch and a travel bag.

The special edition draws inspiration from the 911 G-Body that Ferdinand Alexander Porsche himself drove during the 1980s. It sports an oak green metallic paint finish, mirroring his original car. Adding to its unique aesthetic, the doors are adorned with "72" decals, a nod to the year Ferdinand founded Porsche Design. Special gold badges further embellish the trunk lid and a "90" emblem is positioned directly above it.
This GT3 is notable as the first and only model to feature Porsche's sport classic wheels, complete with custom wheel caps bearing the classic Porsche crest.
Inside, the 911 GT3 special edition boasts a customized interior with a distinctive FA grid-weave fabric, a contemporary interpretation of a classic pattern. The car also features a unique wooden gear lever.
Underpinning this special edition is the new 911 GT3 with the touring package. It is powered by a 4-liter, naturally aspirated, horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine, delivering 502 horsepower and 448 newton-meters of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.
