A traffic incident occurred on 3/5 at National Route 46B, Dai Dong, when a young man on a motorcycle, failing to observe traffic, swerved left from directly behind a truck. With his view obstructed, he crashed head-on into an oncoming car. The impact threw the motorcyclist a distance, but he miraculously escaped death.
Turning left directly behind larger vehicles presents a risk of accidents. Drivers in such situations are essentially "blind" to the road ahead, as the larger vehicle obstructs their view of oncoming traffic.
Therefore, when changing lanes or turning, drivers should activate their turn signal, ensure clear visibility, check their rearview mirrors, and carefully observe oncoming traffic.
This incident mirrors a previous case where a truck collided head-on with a small car attempting a U-turn from behind another vehicle, where visibility was also obstructed at a road opening. In that instance, the Traffic Police Department (Cuc CSGT) ruled the small car's driver entirely at fault, holding them responsible for compensation.
