The incident involved a specialized hauler, a type of heavy-duty vehicle designed to transport construction machinery. The driver of this specialized hauler fully encroached on the oncoming lane to overtake a vehicle equipped with a dashcam. As it approached a curve, an oncoming tractor-trailer appeared, forcing the specialized hauler's driver to swerve abruptly back into their lane. Losing control, the specialized hauler plunged into a roadside drainage ditch.

Reckless overtaking poses significant safety risks to both the driver and other road users.
