On 9/1, a chain collision involving three motorcycles occurred on Tran Nhan Tong street. The incident began when three motorcycles were riding in close proximity behind a small truck. A pedestrian unexpectedly stepped into the road, prompting the lead motorcycle to brake sharply. This sudden stop caused the rider to fall onto the road.
The motorcycle immediately behind was unable to react in time, subsequently running over the fallen rider and causing two more people to fall. An oto was approaching from the opposite direction at the time, but fortunately, it managed to avoid the pile-up, preventing further injuries or fatalities.
This incident highlights the importance of safe driving practices. When operating vehicles, drivers must maintain focus, observe their surroundings, and keep a safe distance from other vehicles to anticipate unexpected situations. Many motorcyclists commonly ride close together, often to converse, which significantly increases their susceptibility to collisions and chain accidents when sudden events occur.
