Small truck crashes head-first into large truck

A large truck braked suddenly, causing a closely following small truck to collide forcefully with its rear on 26/7 in Tan Thanh commune.

The incident occurred when a truck, traveling on a straight road, abruptly braked as a car unexpectedly pulled out from a side road. The small truck following behind could not react in time, crashing into the rear of the leading vehicle and severely damaging its front.

In a similar incident, a container truck, showing no signs of slowing down, crashed into multiple automobiles on 19/7 on CT01 passing through Yen Son, Ninh Binh.

According to experts from Car Awards, the driver of the large truck in the video appeared startled upon seeing the car rapidly emerging from the side road onto the main road. The truck's significant weight meant it required time to come to a complete stop. Meanwhile, the small truck behind failed to maintain a sufficient safe distance to stop in unexpected situations.

Such incidents highlight the importance of adhering to traffic regulations. Decree 168/2024 stipulates that drivers of automobiles who fail to maintain a safe distance face a fine of two to three million VND. If such an action causes an accident, the fine increases to 22 million VND, and 10 points are deducted from their driver's license.

Furthermore, drivers exiting a side road onto a main road must stop and observe, proceeding only when the path is clear. Fortunately, no vehicles were approaching from the opposite direction in this incident, preventing a potentially more severe outcome.
