Traffic situation: From a side road, a student on a motorbike approached an intersection at high speed with no sign of slowing down. At that moment, a truck was driving straight through. The girl was startled, her vehicle skidded and fell, crashing directly under the truck. Casualties are currently unknown.
Driving skills: Vehicles approaching an intersection must reduce speed, observe, and only change direction when it is safe to do so. Speeding, like the motorcyclist in the video, endangers oneself and other road users.
It is common for students to use electric bicycles and electric motorbikes without adequate knowledge of traffic safety. Common errors made by students on the road include: not wearing helmets, not staying in the correct lane, riding abreast while talking, and even driving erratically, often going against traffic, taking shortcuts, cutting across lanes, or cutting off larger vehicles, which poses many risks.
The video below also illustrates a typical case where a girl on an electric motorbike did not follow the roundabout to turn but instead drove directly into oncoming traffic, colliding with a motorbike traveling in the correct direction.
