The Suzuki Jimny is currently available with unprecedented discounts, reaching up to 180 million dong in may. This makes the actual transaction price for the 2024 model approximately 609 million dong, placing it in a similar price range as lower-end B-segment CUVs.
The substantial price reduction combines a 120 million dong promotion from Suzuki Vietnam with an additional 30-50 million dong in incentives from individual dealerships. Suzuki's promotion includes 100% of the registration fee and a 6,5-year vehicle maintenance package, which can be converted into cash.
According to sales representatives, this record discount for the Suzuki Jimny stems from its 2024 model year and slow sales. Despite being positioned in the A-segment, the Jimny's original price of 789 million dong was comparable to entry-level C-segment vehicles, making it a less attractive option for many buyers.

Upon its launch in 2024, the Suzuki Jimny initially saw inflated prices due to high early demand. However, interest gradually waned, leading to a decline in prices before the current deep discounts were introduced to clear inventory. Currently, the Jimny is the only model in Suzuki's lineup with 2024 production year (VIN) vehicles remaining.
Sales figures highlight this trend: 437 Jimny units were sold in 2024 (from april), dropping to 271 units in 2025. In the first four months of 2025, only 82 units of the Japanese-imported model were sold.
The Jimny, known for its off-road capabilities and distinctive boxy design, is imported from Japan. However, its high price and a minimalist interior less suited for the general market have limited its appeal. It serves as a niche vehicle for affluent customers rather than contributing significantly to Suzuki's overall sales, unlike more versatile and affordable models such as the XL7 or Fronx.
In Vietnam, the Suzuki Jimny is sold in a single version priced at 789 million dong. It features a 1,5-liter engine producing 102 horsepower and 130 Nm of peak torque, paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission and a 4-wheel drive system. Users can select various driving modes: two-wheel drive high range (2H), four-wheel drive high range (4H), and four-wheel drive low range (4L).
