Toyota celebrates one million vehicle sales with special offers

Toyota reached the milestone of one million vehicle sales on July 2nd and is offering promotions on many models, with the highest discount reaching 100% of the registration fee.

Following the 700,000-vehicle production milestone in March, Toyota Vietnam announced on July 2nd that it has achieved cumulative sales of one million vehicles since entering the Vietnamese market in 1995. This also marks Toyota as the first auto brand in Vietnam to reach this sales milestone domestically. To celebrate, Toyota is collaborating with its nationwide dealer network to offer promotions on various models throughout July.

Specifically, a 100% registration fee support is applied to the Veloz Cross (up to 66 million VND) and Avanza Premio (up to 60 million VND). Toyota Financial Services Vietnam (TFSVN) is also offering a preferential interest rate of 1.99% per year for these two B-segment MPVs.

Strategic models, including the Vios, Yaris Cross, and Corolla Cross, receive a 50% discount on the registration fee, applicable to all versions. Vios buyers also receive one year of body insurance and a preferential interest rate from 1.99% per year. This low interest rate is also applied to the Yaris Cross, Corolla Cross, and Innova Cross SUVs, at 5.49% per year for the hybrid version and 5.99% per year for the gasoline engine version.

According to the company, this policy applies to customers who purchase vehicles from now until the end of July, have completed 100% payment for the vehicle, and have received a VAT invoice from the dealer. Details of the support levels for each model are as follows:

Model Promotion Support Level (million VND)
Vios 50% registration fee and 1 year of body insurance 30-35
Veloz Cross 100% registration fee 64-66
Avanza Premio 56-60
Yaris Cross 50% registration fee 33-38
Corolla Cross 41-46

Since the beginning of the year, Toyota has recorded steady growth each month while the rest of the market has fluctuated. In June, Toyota Vietnam delivered 6,213 vehicles, a slight increase compared to May and nearly 20% higher than the same period in 2024. The Japanese automaker's accumulated sales for the first six months of the year reached over 29,000 units, a 31% increase compared to the same period last year.

The Yaris Cross and Vios were the sales pillars, selling 1,150 and 1,059 units respectively, and are expected to be among the top 10 best-selling cars in the Vietnamese market in June. The Corolla Cross, Veloz Cross, and Innova Cross also saw stable sales growth. The hybrid segment showed positive signs with a total of 771 vehicles delivered in June.

Along with Toyota, many other car manufacturers are also launching promotional programs to attract customers in July, promising a lively race in the market. "Many users choose Toyota vehicles because of the brand's popularity, but they continue to stay loyal, even recommending them to relatives, because of the low operating costs, minimal repairs, and high liquidity," said Le Nam, an expert with decades of experience following the automobile market.

Thu Hien, 29, from Phu Tho, owner of a Toyota Vios, said she bought the car in mid-June when her workplace merged, requiring a longer commute. "People at my office often buy Toyota cars, and even young people appreciate the increasingly attractive designs. I chose the Vios because it's easy to use, durable, and more convenient to maintain than other models," Hien said, adding that her family also drives Toyotas and highly regards the brand for its excellent service and attentive customer care.

Nguyen Tuan Son from Long Bien, Hanoi, the owner of four Toyotas, including two Yaris Crosses and two Corolla Crosses, praised the company's dealer network and after-sales service. "I have great confidence in Toyota's service system because the technicians are experienced and provide thorough maintenance and repair advice to customers," said Son, who has been a loyal Toyota customer for 10 years. "Cars maintained and cared for according to genuine standards will be more durable and, importantly, maintain maximum safety and peace of mind every time they are on the road."

Toyota is one of the first Japanese car manufacturers to establish a production and assembly plant in Vietnam. In March, Toyota's plant in Phu Tho province produced its 700,000th vehicle, a Veloz Cross. Toyota's authorized dealer network is present in most provinces and cities across the country.
