Toyota is applying a support level equivalent to 100% of the registration fee for the Veloz Cross and Avanza Premio. This offer includes a one-year physical damage insurance package, translating to a reduction of 65-75 million dong.

For the B-segment sedan Vios, buyers this month will receive a reduction of 46-54 million dong, depending on the version. The Yaris Cross HEV (hybrid electric vehicle) and its gasoline-powered variant will see reductions of 74 million dong and 50 million dong, respectively.

For the Innova Cross, the Japanese automaker presents two incentive options. Under the first option, the company supports 50% of the registration fee along with one year of physical damage insurance. The second option allows customers to purchase on an installment plan with a fixed interest rate of 0% for the first six months or 5,4% per year (fixed for the first six months), plus one year of physical damage insurance.

For the Corolla Cross, the company applies a 50% registration fee incentive for both versions, equivalent to a reduction of 41-43.5 million dong. Toyota Vietnam Finance Company is offering preferential interest rates for the first two years on the Veloz Cross and Avanza Premio. Models such as the Vios, Hilux, Yaris Cross, Corolla Cross, Camry, and Alphard will receive preferential interest rates starting from 7,75% for the first six months and a fixed 10,49% for the subsequent six months.

In August, Toyota Vietnam sold 4,767 vehicles (excluding Lexus). Among these, the Yaris Cross and Innova Cross were popular models, with sales of 920 and 829 units respectively. In the hybrid electric vehicle segment, Toyota reported capturing 75% of the market share with 1,046 units sold. The Corolla Cross HEV, Innova Cross HEV, and Yaris Cross HEV were among the top five best-selling hybrid vehicles.

Experts indicate that Toyota's aggressive incentives this month highlight its strategy to promote hybrid vehicles, viewing them as a suitable solution for the Vietnamese market.

During the 2nd Vietnam - Japan Local Cooperation Forum, Osamu Hirata, General Director of Toyota Vietnam, proposed that HEVs also be recognized as priority vehicles for circulation alongside BEVs (battery electric vehicles) in low-emission zones (LEZ) in TP HCM.

The Japanese executive also stated that HEVs can significantly reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions without requiring charging infrastructure or changes in consumer driving habits. "These vehicles can also operate during natural disasters or power outages, making them particularly suitable for current conditions in Vietnam", a Toyota Vietnam representative said.

In Vietnam, Toyota is implementing a plan to upgrade its factory and production lines for hybrid vehicles, with an investment of approximately 360 million USD. This initiative aims to proactively secure supply and meet domestic market demand.
