At the start of April, Toyota Vietnam announced sales of nearly 8,300 vehicles of all types in March, immediately following the extended Lunar New Year holiday. The company stated that this sales volume was previously only achieved during peak year-end months last year.

In March, the Yaris Cross, Innova Cross, and Vios were the three best-selling models, with sales of 2,378, 1,576, and 1,004 vehicles respectively. Experts attribute this strong purchasing power during an off-peak season, especially with fluctuating fuel prices, to the Japanese brand's appeal and reputation among consumers.
In April, Toyota continues to stimulate demand with a series of incentive policies. The Veloz Cross and Avanza Premio multi-purpose vehicle duo received the most significant offers, including support equivalent to 100% of the registration fee, a free one-year comprehensive insurance policy, and interest-free financing for the first year when purchased on an installment plan. The company estimates that customers will save 73-75 million dong when buying a Veloz Cross and 65-70 million dong when buying an Avanza Premio. This marks Toyota's most substantial discount for these two models since the beginning of the year.

The Yaris Cross and Vios, both sales pillars, receive incentives equivalent to 50% of the registration fee, with loan interest rates starting from 6,49%, fixed for the first six months. The company's zero-down payment loan program is available for all models and continues to be offered to specific customer groups: state civil servants, employees at Vietnam's leading large enterprises, personnel from partners, suppliers, and Toyota dealerships nationwide.
The past month also saw remarkable growth in self-charging hybrid (HEV) vehicle sales, with Toyota selling 2,193 units, three times the previous month's figure. For the Innova Cross, Corolla Cross, and Camry models, HEV versions outsold their gasoline counterparts, thanks to new pricing that reduced costs by 37-200 million dong, depending on the model. Toyota applies an extended warranty of up to 10 years or 185,000 km for HEV models, along with battery replacement discounts of up to 34%, depending on the model.

HEV vehicles, which reduce emissions and do not require plug-in charging, are becoming a new consumer trend among Vietnamese buyers. Dinh Van Manh (38, Quang Ninh), who received his Yaris Cross HEV in early March, stated that he deliberated between an electric vehicle and a hybrid. However, due to his job requiring frequent travel with many spontaneous schedules and a desire for long-term ownership, he ultimately chose the self-charging hybrid. "HEV cars do not need to be plugged in, have an electric-only mode, and save over 50% more fuel compared to traditional gasoline cars, so I do not feel pressured when fuel prices are adjusted," Manh stated.
The Yaris Cross has been Toyota's sales leader since 2025, featuring a dynamic high-ground clearance design and an accessible price point (650-728 million dong). This model also boasts numerous convenience features, toyota safety sense technology, and a self-charging hybrid version that offers fuel efficiency and environmental friendliness, positioning it to consistently rank among Vietnam's top 10 best-selling vehicles each month.
