In the midday sun, a man riding a motorbike abruptly cut from a busy left lane of cars to the right, leaving no time for a fellow motorcyclist traveling in the same direction to react. A collision occurred, causing both motorcyclists to fall onto the road and slide. Just then, a dashcam-equipped car approached. The driver braked hard, still making contact with the motorbike but managing to stop in time, avoiding hitting the motorcyclists.
Exploiting gaps between congested cars to cross the road is dangerous, as motorbikes appear suddenly, making it impossible for other drivers to react in time to slow down. In this instance, had it been a truck or a bus instead of a motorbike, the consequences could have been far more severe.
Motorcyclists who are not turning at an intersection should ideally use the right lane for travel, as it offers clearer visibility, fewer large vehicles, and a lower risk of collision.
Furthermore, urban vehicles should maintain moderate speeds and safe distances to prevent unexpected situations.
