VinFast car prices significantly reduced from July

Based on a 6% vehicle price promotion and other incentives, VinFast announced new prices for all car models, starting from 188 million dong.

From early July, VinFast dealerships updated new electric car prices for customers. This is essentially the price after deducting the company's promotional programs, the largest of which is 6% of the vehicle's value. A VinFast representative confirmed this, stating that an official announcement would be made in the coming days.

The new pricing structure aims to simplify transactions for buyers and sales staff. Previously, customers found it challenging to grasp all the information due to the variety of general and specific promotional programs from VinFast. By applying these new prices after deducting all promotions upfront, VinFast streamlines the purchasing process.

Below is the VinFast vehicle price list from 5/7:

Model
Version Suggested retail price (million dong, with battery)
VF 2 Standard 188
VF 3 Eco 285
Plus 296
VF 5 Plus 496
VF 6 Eco 646
Plus 699
VF MPV 7 Standard 750
VF 7 Eco 740
Plus 920
VF 8 Eco 898
Plus 1,079
VF 8 new generation Standard 899
VF 9 Eco 1,348
Plus 1,529
EC Van Standard 268
Advanced 286
Advanced + sliding door 306
Herio Green Standard 450
Limo Green Standard 699

Compared to prices before 5/7, VinFast car models saw reductions ranging from tens to hundreds of million dong. For example, the VF 3 was reduced by 17 million dong, the VF 5 by 33 million dong, and the VF 9 by 151-170 million dong.

The new selling prices for the VinFast car models are nearly final. Buyers will not receive existing incentives, as they have already been factored into the car price. However, specific preferential policies for customers in the police and military remain unchanged. Additionally, the policy of free charging until 10/2/2029 and support vouchers for existing VinFast owners wishing to upgrade to a new car will continue as normal.

Changes in retail prices directly affect on-the-road costs. However, due to a 100% registration fee exemption from the Government, the on-the-road costs for VinFast cars from July remain almost unchanged compared to before.

With these new prices, VinFast models demonstrate real competitiveness within their segments. For example, in the B-segment CUV category, the VF 6's price of 646-699 million dong places it in the middle of its segment. However, its on-the-road costs are among the lowest due to the registration fee exemption. Gasoline-powered models may have lower sticker prices, but their on-the-road costs are higher than the VF 6, as gasoline and diesel car registration fees are 10-12% depending on the locality.

Similarly, the new generation D-segment high-riding VF 8 is priced under 900 million dong, making it one of the lowest in its segment. Furthermore, the VF 2, a twin version of the Minio Green, is the most affordable car in the Vietnamese market.
