VinFast opens 20 electric motorcycle dealerships in Indonesia

The Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer expands its green transportation ecosystem in Southeast Asia's largest motorcycle market, organizing large-scale test rides for the VinFast Evo, Feliz II, and Viper models.

VinFast is simultaneously opening 20 electric motorcycle dealerships in July, marking a significant step in its distribution strategy for the Indonesian market. The series of launch events will take place from 19-25/7 in key areas such as: Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Yogyakarta.

This expansion of the distribution network follows VinFast's earlier announcement of pre-orders for its electric motorcycles, which attracted tens of thousands of users across Indonesia. These electric motorcycle dealerships will offer sales, product consultations, and after-sales services, all adhering to VinFast's global standards.

Beyond showcasing and distributing vehicles, VinFast's Indonesian electric motorcycle dealerships will also provide opportunities for direct test rides, home battery swap and charging solutions, and various company promotions. VinFast kicked off the launch event series with a major experience program held on 18/7 at Tribeca, Jakarta. The company stated that the event brought together media, key opinion leaders, partners, and the electric vehicle enthusiast community to experience VinFast products and its ecosystem.

At this program, attendees had the opportunity to experience various color versions of the three models: VinFast Evo, Feliz II, and Viper. Partner V-Green also presented its battery swap station system, home charging solutions, and energy infrastructure. Alongside the display area, there were test drives, battery swap demonstrations, safe riding skills workshops, minigames, and opportunities to interact with the company's expert team.

Vo Thi Cam Tu, Chief Executive Officer of VinFast Electric Motorcycles International Market, stated that the company's strategy aims to build a complete ecosystem, making electric vehicle ownership and usage more convenient for users. "Operating 20 dealerships in Indonesia, along with battery swap and charging solutions and after-sales services, is a crucial step in this strategy," she said.

Among the electric motorcycle models, the VinFast Viper stands out with its sporty design, targeting young customers. The Feliz II and Evo, on the other hand, incorporate advantages proven by the company in Vietnam, optimized to suit usage needs in Indonesia. All three models utilize inhub motors with a maximum power output of 5,200W. The Viper and Feliz II achieve a top speed of 90 km/h, while the Evo reaches 80 km/h.

These models are equipped with two batteries, each with a capacity of 1,5 kWh, placed under the seat. The Evo offers a range of up to 150 km on a full charge. The other two models achieve 145 km, according to the company's announcement. Users in Indonesia can choose to purchase the vehicle with batteries or rent them. In this market, VinFast electric motorcycle owners receive free battery swaps at V-Green stations for one year, with a maximum of 20 swaps per vehicle per month.

VinFast electric motorcycle models in Indonesia come with a warranty of 4+2 years or 60,000 + 12,000 km, whichever comes first.
