VinFast optimized the VF 2 from the Minio Green version, targeting individual customers. Its compact design is ideal for navigating narrow, crowded urban streets.
The VF 2 measures 3,090 x 1,496 x 1,663,2 mm (length x width x height), with a 2,065 mm wheelbase. Design highlights include front LED headlights and 13-inch wheels, allowing for personalization. The interior features a 7-inch information display behind the steering wheel, an air conditioning system, a four-way manually adjustable driver's seat, and two speakers with an integrated FM radio.

A rear-wheel drive electric motor powers the VF 2, delivering 30 kW maximum power and 65 Nm peak torque. It achieves a top speed of 80 km/h and features two driving modes: Eco and Normal. The 18,3 kWh usable capacity battery offers a range of up to 210 km on a full charge, based on NEDC standards. VinFast stated that with 24 kW maximum fast charging, the VF 2 can charge from 10% to 70% in about 34 minutes.
Safety features include a driver airbag and assistance technologies such as: anti-lock braking system (ABS), traction control system (TCS), and electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD). MacPherson suspension on both axles provides a smooth, stable ride.

The 188 million VND price includes the battery and a promotion for 10 free battery charges monthly at V-Green public charging stations nationwide until 10/2/2029. VinFast emphasizes that the VF 2's ownership cost rivals that of a premium scooter, while offering the utility and safety of an electric car.

VinFast began accepting deposits for the VF 2 on 15/7, with a fee of 10 million VND per vehicle. For the first three days, from 15-17/7, the deposit was reduced to 8 million VND per vehicle. This deposit is non-refundable but can be transferred to immediate family members, including parents, spouses, children, or siblings, or to companies registered under these individuals' names. The first VinFast VF 2 units are expected to be delivered to customers in September 2026.
