From 2026, VnExpress will launch an online driving theory test preparation platform. This platform is based on the 600-question set issued by the Ministry of Public Security in June 2025, aiming to help learners proactively review and familiarize themselves before the official examination.
The platform offers comprehensive mock tests for all license categories, encompassing both motorbikes and cars. These include categories A, A1, B1, B, C1, C, D1, D2, D, and trailer categories such as BE, C1E, CE, D1E, D2E, DE. For motorbike licenses, categories A and A1 feature 20 mock tests each, while the remaining categories provide 60 tests, reflecting the scale and requirements of each license type.

The test content adheres closely to the new question set, organized into knowledge groups: general regulations, traffic rules, road signs, traffic diagrams, and situation handling. The platform's interface is designed to be simple and intuitive. Users select their desired license category, complete the test with a structure and time limit mirroring the actual examination, and then self-assess their readiness before the licensing examination.
Compared to the previous question set, the new driving theory test set includes several important revisions. Many questions have been modified, supplemented, or redeveloped to align with the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety and current regulations. The test content increases the proportion of practical scenario questions, requiring candidates to understand and apply traffic rules rather than merely memorizing answers. The set also incorporates new topics related to vehicle safety, such as electric vehicles. Notably, critical "fail-point" questions are more emphasized, focusing on dangerous behaviors like driving under the influence of alcohol, running red lights, driving against traffic, or disobeying traffic control signals.
Beyond the theory section, the mock test platform also integrates a computer-based simulation test for traffic situations, similar to the simulation component currently used in the official driving examination.
The launch of this mock test platform is one of several enhancements introduced by VnExpress. It aims to help readers quickly access changes in driving examination regulations and contribute to improving knowledge and safety awareness for road users.
