Drones are being tested for car cleaning, offering flexible operation without requiring bulky or costly installation space. However, their cleaning effectiveness is not yet fully clear.
In 2025, renowned YouTuber Mo Vibes conducted an experiment in Dubai, cleaning at least three luxury vehicles: two Mercedes models and one Ferrari supercar.
A similar trial was also carried out in Dubai by a specialized cleaning service company. This company uses drones for a range of cleaning and maintenance services beyond just cars, including: high-rise building windows, aircraft, train stations, and solar panels, or any other object requested by clients.
Despite these trials, drones are not yet commercially used in the car washing industry. Currently, their association with vehicles is limited to assisting drivers with navigation in traffic, exploring surroundings during outdoor activities, or capturing aerial views. Some Chinese car manufacturers have already introduced these specific drone applications to the market.
