The incident occurred as a large truck was almost fully out of a workshop and merging onto the main road. Simultaneously, a woman on an electric bike was riding straight on the main thoroughfare. Despite the truck being large and already visible for some time, the electric bike rider did not slow down, instead colliding directly into the side of the truck, between its two wheels.

The impact caused the electric bike rider to fall. Fortunately, the truck was moving very slowly, so no life-threatening injuries occurred at that moment. The truck driver immediately opened the door and exited to check on the rider. The condition of the electric bike rider remains unclear.

Driving advice: All road users must remain focused and observe their surroundings. When a large vehicle ahead is changing direction, drivers should proactively reduce speed or stop completely, rather than attempting to swerve left or right to avoid it.

For truck and dump truck drivers exiting side roads onto main roads, it is essential to use turn signals, sound the horn as a warning, and inch the front of the vehicle out very slowly to observe the flow of traffic. For long trucks, when turning around or reversing in areas with limited visibility, it is best to have an assistant outside to signal and direct traffic. This helps prevent unfortunate accidents involving unobservant vehicles.
