Chinese tech company Xiaomi has unveiled an upgraded version of its SU7 for the domestic market. This marks the first significant enhancement for the sporty electric sedan since its global debut in late 2023, bringing improvements across design, performance, and technology.
A core upgrade for the SU7 2026 lies in its electrical architecture, which now operates at higher voltages. The Standard and Pro versions feature 752 volts, while the Max version reaches 897 volts. This is a notable increase from the previous model's 400 volts and 871 volts, respectively, indicating a substantial leap in efficiency and power delivery.

This higher voltage architecture enables faster DC fast charging. With just 15 minutes of charging, the vehicle can achieve a 670 km range, a significant increase from the previous 510 km for the same charging duration. The SU7 2026 also offers extended driving ranges. The Standard version now boasts 720 km, an increase of 20 km over its predecessor. The Max version reaches 835 km, up from 800 km, while the Pro version continues to lead with an impressive 902 km range, a substantial improvement from the previous 830 km, according to Xiaomi's statements.
Beyond electrical enhancements, the new SU7 features a body constructed from stronger steel and an increased airbag count, rising from seven to nine. Furthermore, lidar is now a standard feature across all versions. This is complemented by a more feature-rich advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) and the company's new hyper autonomous driving (HAD) software suite, enhancing both safety and driver convenience.
The exterior of the SU7 2026 showcases a refined grille and new paint options. While retaining the 20-inch wheels, the rear tire size has been increased from 245 mm to 265 mm across all versions. Four-piston brake calipers are now standard on both the front and rear wheels, ensuring improved stopping power.
A notable addition is the backup power supply for the door locks, now included as standard on all versions, a feature absent in the previous model. In terms of ride comfort, while the older SU7 Max utilized air suspension with CDC dampers, the new Standard and Pro versions now come standard with a dual-chamber air suspension system and CDC dampers, offering a more refined and adaptable driving experience.
Under the hood, the SU7 2026 is equipped with a new V6s Plus electric motor, replacing the V6 and V6s found in the previous model. This upgrade translates to increased power output: the Standard and Pro versions now deliver 320 horsepower, up from 299 horsepower, while the Max version sees a boost from 673 to 690 horsepower, promising enhanced acceleration and overall performance.
The Xiaomi SU7 2026 is scheduled to go on sale from april, with prices ranging from 32,800 to 44,300 USD.
