AIA Vietnam introduces two new insurance products

AIA Vietnam has launched a new insurance product suite, including the AIA - Total Health universal life insurance and the Comprehensive Critical Illness Insurance 2.0, along with several incentives.

The AIA - Total Health universal life insurance is designed with affordable premiums, focusing on long-term protection benefits such as death and total permanent disability. It also helps customers build financial plans and transfer assets to the next generation.

Participants can choose one of three plans to suit their needs and financial capabilities: lifelong, comprehensive, and sustainable. The latter two plans guarantee protection for 30 years if all conditions are met, helping customers proactively manage health risks and maintain long-term protection value.

The product also integrates the AIA Vitality program, a health and wellness platform that offers up to a 20% bonus on the sum assured if customers maintain regular exercise and self-care habits. Users can accumulate reward points and receive benefits from partners in the ecosystem, such as Tiki, Shopee, Grab, Big C, Melatec, Samsung, and Garmin.

In addition, customers are entitled to contract maintenance bonuses ranging from 50% to 200% of the average annual basic premium paid, if all conditions are met.

Meanwhile, the Comprehensive Critical Illness Insurance 2.0 provides broad coverage for 107 critical illnesses, categorized into three stages of progression. Specifically, customers can receive a maximum of 4 payments for early-stage illnesses, each equivalent to 30% of the sum assured; a maximum of two payments for mid-stage illnesses, each equivalent to 60%; and 100% of the sum assured for critical-stage illnesses.

The product applies to individuals from 30 days to 70 years old, extending coverage to both children and the elderly. Children will receive 60% of the sum assured for illnesses such as tetanus, severe hand, foot, and mouth disease, and Kawasaki disease with heart complications. Seniors will receive 20% of the sum assured for conditions such as severe osteoporosis and kidney disease due to diabetes.

This product is also linked to the AIA Vitality program, allowing customers to receive bonuses of up to 30% of the average premium paid over five consecutive years if they maintain consistent healthcare activities.

Furthermore, customers are supported by the "Medical Journey" service, a platform for managing personal medical records and connecting with over 50,000 medical professionals globally. This service helps with check-ups, diagnosis assessment, treatment planning, and answering questions during the healthcare process.

From 17/7 to 31/12, participants in the Comprehensive Critical Illness Insurance 2.0 can also access appointment booking services at several reputable hospitals in Vietnam, enhancing their experience when seeking medical care.

According to Mr. Andrew Loh, CEO of AIA Vietnam, the incidence of critical illness in Vietnam is increasing, while treatment costs are rising. Therefore, the concept of healthcare needs to shift from treatment to prevention and proactive protection. "Health is a valuable asset but also vulnerable. If we don't prepare early, it will be difficult to avoid financial and emotional burdens when risks arise," he said.

AIA hopes that the new product suite will not only protect finances but also accompany customers on their journey of prediction, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. This also provides a foundation for customers to proactively plan their legacy, maintain their family's quality of life, and transfer value to the next generation.
