BMW environmental technology launched in Vietnam

BMW operates on a closed-loop circular cycle, reusing water and biological byproducts in livestock farming and cultivation, helping to reduce waste, regenerate resources, and protect the environment.

On 3/12 in Hanoi, Nhat Viet Sustainable Green Environmental Solutions Co., Ltd., in collaboration with the Japan BMW Technology Association and SanBi Sangyo Company, organized the conference "Receiving - transferring - launching BMW technology in Vietnam". The event marks a step forward in technology cooperation between Vietnam and Japan, contributing to solving environmental problems, promoting circular agriculture, and fostering sustainable development.

Previously, on 3/12/2024, a workshop titled "Applying BMW technology in livestock environmental treatment" held in Hanoi attracted many scientists, management agencies, and businesses from both countries. At the event, Japanese experts noted that BMW technology is suitable for Vietnam's conditions, especially given rural environmental pollution and inefficient recycling of agricultural byproducts.

After one year of research, surveys, and discussions with Japanese experts, the Japan BMW Technology Association transferred the technology to Vietnam. Nhat Viet Biotech, a unit within the An Viet Group ecosystem, became a member of the BMW Association and the authorized enterprise to develop and deploy BMW technology domestically.

The 2025 conference aimed to disseminate information about the technology transfer activities between Vietnamese and Japanese enterprises. It also sought to connect scientists, managers, entrepreneurs, and manufacturers to enhance the application of technological solutions in daily life.

At the conference, Japanese experts presented an overview of BMW technology and its application results in Asia, while also announcing the progress of this technology transfer in Vietnam. The conference also awarded the Japan BMW Association Membership certificate to Nhat Viet Biotech, organized specialized discussions between Japanese and Vietnamese experts on environmental treatment and circular agriculture, and included a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement to develop BMW technology in Vietnam.

BMW technology was researched and developed in Japan in the 1990s, based on the natural mechanism of water ecosystems, combining microorganisms, minerals, and water. The technology was patented in Japan in 1993 and the US in 1996. It is currently widely applied in many Asian countries such as South Korea, Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand.

BMW operates on a closed-loop circular cycle: a wastewater treatment system creates raw materials for bioactive water, which is then used for livestock farming and cultivation, producing clean byproducts that return as input for the bioactive water system. This cycle helps to minimize waste, regenerate resources, and improve environmental quality.

BMW technology offers notable benefits across various sectors. In livestock farming, the technology improves the quality of drinking water for animals by supplementing beneficial minerals and microorganisms, increasing nutrient absorption, enhancing disease resistance, and reducing odors in barns. It also improves weight gain efficiency and the quality of meat, eggs, and milk.

In cultivation, the technology stimulates strong seed germination and root development, reduces pests and diseases, enhances plant resistance, and improves the yield, quality, and appearance of agricultural products.

In aquaculture, the technology stabilizes water quality, reduces toxic gases such as NH3, NO2, and H2S, inhibits pathogenic bacteria, supplements natural minerals, and increases survival rates and farming productivity. Additionally, BMW technology is applied in environmental treatment and daily life, including composting, organic waste treatment, domestic wastewater, polluted ponds and lakes, odor removal in homes, barns, kitchens, and footwear, as well as caring for ornamental plants and fresh flowers.

Nhat Viet Biotech's adoption and development of BMW technology mark a turning point for Vietnamese enterprises in environmental technology. This also demonstrates An Viet Group's capacity for extensive international cooperation, bringing global scientific advancements into practical application to serve sustainable agricultural development.

"With the collaboration of Japanese and Vietnamese experts, along with the involvement of businesses and manufacturers, BMW technology is expected to quickly integrate into daily life, becoming a key solution to help Vietnamese agriculture develop more sustainably, safely, and modernly", a representative from Nhat Viet Biotech stated.
